Integrating ESG an evolution for institutional investors

Raising institutional investors' awareness of ESG risk and return factors is an evolution, according to Martin Goss, senior investment consultant, head of client consulting, Australia at global consultancy Towers Watson. Institutional investors can look at ESG in three general ways - as a component of generating long-term risk-adjusted return, as a selection criteria such as "responsible investment" approaches, and as a source of investment opportunity in sectors such as renewable energy.
